Saalt is a woman-owned business based in Boise, Idaho.Female-founded by mother of five Cherie Hoeger, Saalt was started with the vision to make cleaner, more sustainable period care accessible to everyone. As a certified B Corp, Saalt allocates 2% of revenue to donate improved period care to areas with the most need, and funds initiatives in menstrual health, girls education, and environmental sustainability. Eradicating period poverty is a huge part of Saalt, which carries this movement worldwide by providing menstrual health education and period cups to keep girls in school and enable women to pursue their dreams in emerging countries. Since Saalt’s launch in 2018, Saalt has donated over 60,000 Saalt products to underprivileged women and girls in over 50 countries to help them confidently manage their periods, stay in school, and lift themselves out of poverty.
